Askee Sp. z o.o. respects your privacy and gives you full control over cookies and other tracking technologies. Below you will find clear information about the cookies we use and how you can change your preferences at any time.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. They allow the askee site and application to work correctly, remember your preferences and help us understand how you use the Service.
2. Types of cookies used by Askee
We use the following categories of cookies:
2.1. Strictly necessary cookies
- Purpose: ensuring the Service works correctly (sign-in, session, security, load balancing).
- Legal basis: the legitimate interest of the Controller (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and the obligation to provide the service.
- Can they be turned off? No – without these cookies the Service does not work.
2.2. Functional / preference cookies
- Purpose: remembering language and theme settings, saved filters and other user preferences.
- Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Can they be turned off? Yes – once turned off, some personalisation features may not work correctly.
2.3. Analytics / statistical cookies
- Purpose: traffic analysis, usage statistics and improving the Service (e.g. Google Analytics, Hotjar or similar tools).
- Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Can they be turned off? Yes – once turned off, our ability to analyse and improve the Service may be limited.
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.
3. How to manage your cookie preferences?
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge / Safari – the same applies
4. How long cookies are stored
- Session (strictly necessary) – deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent (functional and analytics) – stored for up to 24 months (usually 12–13 months).
5. Sub-processors and third-party technologies
A list of all entities that may receive data through cookies (sub-processors) can be found in the Privacy Policy and in the “List of sub-processors” annex to the Data Processing Agreement.
6. Changing your preferences
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before it was withdrawn.
